01Why do I need Arrivl?
Shoppers increasingly find products by asking an AI, which then browses stores on their behalf. Right now you have no reliable view of that in your usual reports. Arrivl shows you which AI agents browse your store, which products they look at, and how often they come back. Browser tools like Google Analytics can't see them, because AI agents don't run in a browser. Arrivl sits where requests actually arrive, so it can.
02How do I set it up?
About as simple as setting up email for your domain. No tech skills required: (1) In Arrivl, click "Connect Shopify". Fill in your brand domain (e.g. yourstore.com) and your Shopify internal address (yourstore.myshopify.com). (2) Arrivl gives you a few DNS settings. Paste them wherever you bought your domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, AWS, and so on). (3) Wait a few minutes while Arrivl verifies and handles the certificate. When you see ✓ Active, you're done. Never touched DNS? Forward the settings to whoever maintains your site, or ask us.
03Do I need to install a Shopify app?
No. There is no app, and nothing new appears in your Shopify admin. The whole setup is a few DNS settings on your domain, and Arrivl hands you exactly what to paste.
04Do I have to change my theme?
No. Your theme, checkout, and apps stay as they are. Arrivl does not edit any of them.
05Will this slow down my store?
Designed to avoid visible slowdown. Logging happens in the background and stays out of the page-load path. Traffic runs through Cloudflare infrastructure with continuous monitoring.
06Will it affect my website in any other way?
No. Your store keeps running as it does today. Arrivl passes visitors through and notes which AI visited; it does not edit your theme, checkout, products, orders, or Shopify admin. If your domain setup isn't a fit, we tell you up front instead of forcing it through.
07Will my customers notice anything different?
The address bar stays on your domain. Pages still come from Shopify. No pop-ups, no prompts, nothing extra in their browser. Customers should not see a difference.
08What data does Arrivl see?
Only visit-level basics: which page was viewed, what kind of visitor it was (so we can tell ChatGPT's crawler apart from a phone browser), and where the visit came from. Arrivl does not touch your customers' personal data, orders, payments, or anything in your Shopify admin. No cookies or tracking scripts in shoppers' browsers either.
09What about privacy? Is my customers' data safe?
Yes. Personal data, orders, and payments stay between Shopify and you. What Arrivl sees is the visit-level info above, which is mostly bot traffic anyway. The records are yours, kept in your dashboard, never sold or handed to a third party. We provide a privacy-policy paragraph plus a DPA if you need them.
10Does tracking and analytics cost anything?
Free today. No credit card, nothing to buy from Shopify or Cloudflare. We'll let you know well before that ever changes.
11Will this affect my Google ranking or SEO?
Google and other search engines still see your original site, content, and URLs. Arrivl passes visitors through without modifying your pages, so it does not change what search engines crawl.
12Does it work with my Shopify plan?
Yes. Setup is the same on every Shopify plan, from Basic to Plus. Your plan does not change the setup or the five minutes.
13I already have Google Analytics, Shopify reports, and Agentic Storefronts. Why do I need Arrivl?
Use them together. Each watches a different layer: Google Analytics counts people in a browser — AI agents do not browse that way, so most of their visits never show up there. Shopify Agentic Storefronts shows orders attributed to the four AI commerce channels it integrates with (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode, Gemini). Arrivl covers the layer neither of them watches: the AI agents themselves. Which agents actually arrived (the full landscape, not just those four), which pages they read, and whether they pull your store into their answers. And it works across every site you connect, not just Shopify.
14Once it's set up, what will I see in the dashboard?
Live AI visits as they happen: which agent viewed which page (e.g. ChatGPT's crawler on /products/canvas-sneakers), how often each one comes back, and how the trend is moving.
15What if I want to turn it off later?
Remove the DNS settings (or just tell Arrivl), and traffic goes straight back to Shopify, exactly as before. No contract, no process, you can stop any time.
